How long does the application and acceptance process usually take?
Our admissions process is a three step proces that can take up to two weeks when we begin enrollment for the approaching new school year. The process includes the application, admissions assessment (3 years and up) and parent interviews.
Is your childcare program licensed?
Yes, our program is licensed with the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS). For more information about child care licensing visit the DFPS website.
Is your program accredited?
Accreditation is an on-going process that takes time. We have already taken steps to begin this process. Our goal is to be accredited with the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) within three years or less of opening our doors.
When will you begin enrollment for the 2017- 2018 school year?
Re-enrollment for our current students will begin on February 1, 2017.
Open enrollment for new students will begin on March 1, 2017 for the upcoming 2017-2018 school year and before and after school care.
Is your school associated with a specific church or denomination?
No, our school is a non-denominational Christian school. We accept students from any denomination.
Are your teachers certified?
All of our teachers are highly qualified. Not only do our elementary teachers hold valid teaching certificates, but many also have advanced degrees. Our preschool teachers have many years of experience and either have or are working toward a Child Development Associates Certificate at a minimum. Many of our preschool teachers either have or are working toward advanced degrees in early childhood as well.
Do students receive instruction from computer based learning programs?
We believe technology should be used to enhance learning, but in no way is a replacement for teachers and hands on learning experiences. All instruction at MSA is directed by qualified educators and technology is used only as a supplement to hands on experiences.
