It is our desire to make attandance at MSA possible for children of parents who are committed to the mission and values of MSA, believe that God would have them send their children to MSA, but are unable to do so because of financial hardship or other circumstances.  The Student Tuition Assistance Resource (STAR) Fund is the primary source for tuition assistance at Morning Star Academy.

Where does the money come from?

STAR is funded through many sources.  MSA hosts an annual race and family fun run each spring and a golf tournament in the fall.  Sponsorship opportunities are available for each event.  In addition, individuals believing in the value of Christian education may make a donation specifically designated to the STAR fund.

How is STAR administered?

MSA uses an outside firm to conduct an independent review, verification and analysis of an applicant's financial condition and need, using its own guidelines and criteria, and then provides MSA with a written recommendation on whether an applicant is qualified to receive financial assistance.  The final selection process is conducted by an anonymous committee appointed by the MSA governing board.  Financial assistance applications are approved and administered to qualified applicants accordingly.

How can I help?

There are many ways that you can be part of assisting families through STAR.

1. Participate in our events.

2. Sponsor our events. Your sponsorship yields benefits throughout the year at all STAR events.

3. Prayerfully consider a donation to STAR.

Every dollar-100%-of the money raised for STAR directly funds students who qualify for tuition assistance.  Participation in STAR allows you to be part of something bigger than yourself or your own family.  You will be part of making a difference in a student's life by helping to provide them with a Christian education.
